This website is still under
construction. I wanted to go ahead and get something up so we
could start using the discussion board, so this is what we have right
now. Some of the links above do not work. We'll get them
fixed as time allows. Until then, please visit our Discussion
Board. We'll get other things working in the near future. If
you have pictures of Lake Juliette, and you don't mind me using them in
this forum, please contact me.
Thanks,
JulietteChuck

Welcome
to the LakeJuliette.com website. Lake Juliette is located in
Monroe County, Georgia between Macon and Forsyth, GA. This
website was created to be a forum to discuss fishing in this lake.
My main intention was to run a bulletin board about Lake Juliette
where folks could share their stories, experiences, tactics, etc.
So, to begin with, that is where I will concentrate my efforts.
As time allows, I may expand this website to include pages about
Juliette and other fishing spots in the area.

I recently purchased a boat
built with Juliette in mind. I live close to the lake, and it
offers me the best opportunity to get fishing quickly, such as in
the evenings after work. After looking around on the Internet for
information about Lake Juliette, I was surprised at how little
information existed. So, I decided to purchase the domain name
and put up a bulletin board where we could discuss topics related
to Juliette as well as other area fishing spots. I'll add
topics/discussion areas when interest in this site warrants
additional topics or discussions.

Lake Juliette, also known as Rum
Creek, is a 3,600-acre Georgia Power Company (GPC) reservoir
located 15 miles north of Macon adjacent to Hwy. 23. Impounded
in 1980, the lake provides cooling water for Plant Scherer's
electric generating facility. Two boat ramps owned and
maintained by GPC are available for public use. WRD prohibits
the use of outboard motors greater than 25 hp. Boats with larger
outboards may be used, but the outboard cannot be operated. |
